As a department we use ABC rates to identify student trends and as a start for reflecting on teaching and the teaching process with the goal of having a more equitable experience for students and to spark conversation with colleagues about best practices.

We realize that there are many factors which need to be taken into consideration with each individual class (absence rates of students, apathy, if a student is "on track" for graduation, etc.
